YOUR TASKS
Conduct research on AI-based analysis, planning, and optimization algorithms for waste transportation logistics, with a specific focus on minimizing emissions and costs in the NEwAIste project.
Develop novel AI models and methodologies to analyze and optimize waste transportation processes.
Publish research findings in reputable scientific journals and present at international conferences (AAAI, ECAI,..) as well as collaborate with project members (Büchl GmbH, INAS Institute, TUM, University of Augsburg)
Pursue a doctorate within a team of motivated and talented researchers with fun at work and confirmed guidance from a German research university.
YOUR PROFILE
Master's degree in computer science, data science, operations research, industrial engineering, or a related field
Good command of programming in Python and applied mathematics
Basic knowledge (or curiosity) of AI, ML, and OR (linear programming, reinforcement learning, mathematical programming)
(Ideally) Experience in modeling and solving optimization problems (Gurobi, SCIP, CPLEX)
Good command of English and German, strong organizational and teamwork skills
